Markdown

What you write stays yours.

Your notes are Markdown files, stored locally or in iCloud. You can back them up, export them or share them when you choose. There’s no CaliNote account to create, and no ads or cross-app tracking.

How we handle your data

Before you begin

Who owns my notes?

You do. Note content is stored as Markdown files that other compatible tools can read and edit. Local indexes and some app-owned relationships are stored separately in the app database.

Is iCloud required?

No. Notes use the app’s local directory by default. Optional private CloudKit sync is off by default and two-device validation is still incomplete.

When can I download it?

We’re preparing the first TestFlight beta. A public invitation link will appear once it’s approved and open for testing. We haven’t announced a launch date or pricing for the full release yet.

TestFlight

Getting ready for the first beta.

We’re checking release signing, how the app runs on each device and whether files recover correctly. The invitation link will appear here once the beta is ready, approved and open. If you already have an invitation, read the testing notes and use a separate test library.
