Quick entry and custom durations
On the Mac dashboard or menu bar, or in Today on iPhone, choose a project, date and duration, then add the entry. Notes are optional. Choose Custom to enter hours and minutes instead of a preset; a tick and outline mark your selection. On Mac you can also start a timer and confirm the entry when you finish. The current iPhone version focuses on manual entry.
Language and appearance
The app supports English and Simplified Chinese, selected through your system’s per-app language settings. Appearance can follow the system or use the light or dark option in the app’s settings. iPhone also supports system text sizes. If a control is cut off with larger text, include a screenshot and your text-size setting in your feedback.
Enable iCloud sync
Basic sync is free and available in builds configured for cloud access. Export a JSON backup on each device first. Check that Mac and iPhone use the same iCloud account, then open Settings → Data & Backup → iCloud on each device, enable Sync projects and entries and confirm. Existing projects and saved entries merge; later edits and deletions sync too. Keep both apps open and use Sync Now to check progress.
Another device has not updated
Check the network, iCloud account and sync switch on both devices. Bring both apps to the foreground and choose Sync Now on each. Last iCloud exchange confirms that this device exchanged changes with iCloud, not that the other device has read them. Active timers, reminders, favourites and report templates do not sync. Follow any configuration, account or storage warning and keep your local data; repeated reinstalls are not needed. Real-time background sync, team sharing and timer handoff are not supported.
Backups, restores and sync conflicts
JSON exports preserve all projects and entries. A workspace that has never linked to iCloud can restore JSON to replace its local database, with a local recovery copy saved first. Full JSON replacement is disabled once a workspace is linked to iCloud, even if sync is paused; CSV import can still add records. Turning sync off does not clear local or cloud data. If both devices edit the same entry offline, one version is kept. A local recovery copy is saved before remote changes replace or delete records and can be exported in Settings. Sync also propagates deletions, so keep independent backups.
Reports and Pro
Choose a date range and project in Reports. CSV includes all selected entries; the free PDF is a one-page summary. Detailed reports are free to preview. Pro adds complete, multi-page detailed PDF export and one reusable local report template. It is planned as a one-time purchase with no subscription. Templates do not sync through iCloud. Cancelling a purchase does not affect your entries or current report options.
A purchase has not unlocked Pro
Pro is not yet available to buy. An unavailable product may mean this build or region is not configured for sales. If you have a purchase, check that you are using the same App Store account, connect to the internet and choose Restore Purchases or Check Purchase Status in Settings → Pro. Restoring an existing purchase does not charge you again. Wait for Apple’s confirmation if a purchase is awaiting approval. Pro access is verified separately: enabling data sync does not unlock Pro, and restoring a purchase does not restore work entries.
Beta progress and system requirements
The first macOS TestFlight beta is not open yet; iPhone validation is under way. Current development builds require macOS 27 or later, or iOS / iPadOS 26 or later. The full iPad experience still needs validation. Basic two-way sync has passed development tests on a real Mac and iPhone; public beta sync and failure scenarios still need validation. TestFlight purchases use Apple’s test environment, incur no real payment and do not automatically become purchases in the released app.
Reporting an issue
Include your app version, system version, device type, steps to reproduce, expected result and actual result. For sync issues, include the sync status and time shown on both devices; do not send your iCloud password. You decide whether to include screenshots or attachments. Remove unrelated client information, passwords and full purchase receipts first. The app does not send support emails automatically.
